Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony na podgórzach i w górach środkowej i południowej Europy (z wyjątkiem Pirenejów), w Alpach docierający do wysokości około 2500 m n.p.m. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, oprócz Babiej Góry nie łowiony od kilkudziesięciu lat. Warunki ekologiczne słabo poznane, znajdowany przeważnie na kwitnących krzewach i roślinach zielnych.
