Taxon description
Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Podgatunek nominatywny zamieszkuje całą Palearktykę. We Włoszech występuje drugi podgatunek, Arctosa perita latitorax Lugetti et Tongiorgi, 1965. Żyje na wydmach piaszczystych, zarówno nadmorskich jak i śródlądowych; czasem spotykany także na polach uprawnych.
