Taxon description
Gatunek rzadko i sporadycznie wykazywany z nielicznych i rozproszonych stanowisk w środkowej i południowej Europie, notowany ponadto z Algieru. W Polsce jest nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykanym chrząszczem, znanym tylko z okolic Buska Zdroju. Gatunek uważany za halofilny, a nawet halobiontyczny, występuje głównie w strefie pobrzeży morskich, znajdowany również na słonawiskach śródlądowych.
