Zarówno rozmieszczenie jak i warunki ekologiczne gatunku niedostatecznie znane Dotychczas wykazany tylko ze wschodnich prowincji Niemieckiej Republiki Demokratycznej, Austrii Dolnej oraz z Czech. Podany ogólnie z Pomorza prawdopodobnie na podstawie znalezisk w miejscowościach leżących na wschód od Berlina, po lewej stronie Odry, kilkanaście kilometrów od granicy Polski. Dotychczas nie stwierdzony w Polsce, ale występowanie omawianego gatunku prawdopodobne w zachodniej części kraju. [Kfp 1973]; Wymieniony wyżej takson utrzymywał się w piśmiennictwie prawie 60 lat. Obecnie uznaje się go za synonim pospolitego Bembidion (Philochthus) mannerheimii (C. Sahlberg, 1827), szeroko rozprzestrzenionego w Europie (t. 2, str. 170). W katalogu chrząszczy środkowoeuropejskich (Lucht 1987) Bembidion (Philochthus) neresheimeri G. Müll., nie jest podany.[Kfp 2000].
Wymieniony wyżej takson utrzymywał się w piśmiennictwie prawie 60 lat. Obecnie uznaje się go za synonim pospolitego Bembidion (Philochthus) mannerheimii (C. Sahlberg, 1827), szeroko rozprzestrzenionego w Europie (t. 2, str. 170). W katalogu chrząszczy środkowoeuropejskich (Lucht 1987) Bembidion (Philochthus) neresheimeri G. Müll. nie jest podany.
