Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1973:

Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej i środkowej Europie, z północnej Europy znany tylko z kilku południowych stanowisk w Szwecji i Finlandii, podawany też z północnej Afryki, Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i zachodniej Syberii. Zasiedla głównie szlamiste pobrzeża wód zarówno bieżących jak stojących, niekiedy nawet wysychających w lecie kałuż i małych stawów, spotykany nieraz w dalszej odległości od wody.
