Taxon description
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek od krajów śródziemnomorskich do Wysp Brytyjskich i Fennoskandii (z wyjątkiem skrajnych prowincji północnych), notowany również z Azji Mniejszej, południowej Syberii i Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze. Znajdowany na szlamowatych pobrzeżach wód płynących, na wilgotnych, gliniastych miejscach pól uprawnych, w starych dołach po wybranej glinie lub piasku.
