Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w środkowej Europie i części Europy Południowej, Azji Mniejszej, na Kaukazie, Zakaukaziu i w Azji Środkowej. W Polsce znany tylko z trzech krain, przy czym dane o występowaniu w Tarnowie i w okolicy Jeleniej Góry opierają się na znaleziskach z końca ubiegłego stulecia, dlatego też wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w nasionach koniczyn — Trifolium L. i rutwicy lekarskiej — Galega officinalis L.
