Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1985:

Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w południowej i środkowej części Europy, docierający na północ do południowej części Anglii i Skandynawii; notowany poza tym z Azji Mniejszej, Kaukazu i Algierii. W Polsce gatunek rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w czterech krainach. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych, zwłaszcza w ciepłych miejscach na pobrzeżach lasu i na nasłonecznionych zboczach. Bionomia słabo poznana. Larwy żyją w glebie. Postacie dojrzałe są poławiane dość rzadko i sporadycznie, przeważnie w maju i czerwcu, na listowiu i kwiatach drzew i krzewów — dębów, sosen, głogów i tarnin.
