Taxon description
Motyl spotykany sporadycznie na brzegach lasów, polanach leśnych, przytorzach i łąkach. Pojawia się w dwu pokoleniach: od V do połowy VII oraz od końca VII do połowy IX. Gąsienice, liczniej od motyli spotykane, żerują przede wszystkim na kwiatach przytulii białej, żółtej i leśnej. Przebywając na łatwo dostępnych zewnętrznych częściach roślin, często ulegają atakom pasożytów, od których ginie znaczna ich liczba. W stadium poczwarki gatunek ten przeleguje jedną lub dwie zimy w oprzędzie między liśćmi na ziemi lub płytko w ziemi.
