Taxon description
Omawiany podgatunek znany dotychczas tylko z Polski, występujący w karpackim obszarze, w Tatrach dociera do piętra alpejskiego. Drugi podgatunek, nominatywny, również górski, występuje w Apeninach, Alpach i Górach Kantabryjskich w Hiszpanii, notowany również z Kaukazu. Na ogół rzadko spotykany, łowiony na padlinie i w pułapkach z serem.
