Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący głównie środkową Europę, na zachód sięgający do północno-wschodniej Francji, a na południe do północnych Włoch. W zeszłym stuleciu ogólnikowo notowany ze Śląska (Letzner 1871, 1887), co budziło wątpliwości u innych autorów (Seidlitz 1889, Gerhardt 1891e). Występuje w gniazdach mrówek Tetramorium caespitum (L.) na nasłonecznionych miejscach skąpo pokrytych niską roślinnością.
