Taxon description
Gatunek europejski, rozprzestrzeniony od południowych prowincji Fennoskandii oraz Karelskiej SRR przez całą Europę środkową aż do Włoch i Grecji, na zachód docierający do wschodniej Francji, a na wschód do Rumunii i Podola; wszędzie rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Znajdowany najczęściej pod odstającą korą drzew iglastych, zwłaszcza sosen i świerków, rzadziej na drzewach liściastych, na przykład bukach, dębach i topolach.
