Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek notowany z nielicznych stanowisk we wschodniej Francji, w Niemczech, Polsce, na Słowacji i w Mołdawii. W Polsce znany tylko z siedmiu krain. Zasiedla głównie gleby piaszczyste; poławiano go na polach, ugorach, miedzach, przydrożach, rumowiskach i miejscach ruderalnych. Chowacz monofagiczny, odbywający rozwój na pszonaku drobnokwiatowym — Erysimum cheiranthoides L. Larwa tego chowacza żeruje w szyi korzeniowej powodując wyrośla; na silnie zaatakowanych roślinach okrągławe wyrośla stykają się ze sobą. Przepoczwarczenie następuje we wrześniu lub październiku, według jednych autorów w glebie, według innych w wyroślach.
