Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1973:

Gatunek rozmieszczony w północnej części Palearktyki występuje w 6 znanych podgatunkach. Podgatunek nominatywny zamieszkuje głównie piaszczyste wybrzeża morskie w zachodniej i południowej części Europy, notowany również ze stanowisk śródlądowych, leżących w pobliżu większych rzek. Przez niektórych badaczy wykazany jako halobiont.
