Taxon description
Gatunek znany głównie z południowej, środkowej i zachodniej części Europy, notowany ponadto z Maroka i Algierii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Zamieszkuje zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste. Występuje na łąkach wilgotnych, bagnistych pobrzeżach wód, wrzosowiskach wilgotnych i torfowiskach. Żyje na komonicy błotnej — Lotus uliginosus Schk. i komonicy zwyczajnej — L. corniculatus L. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano na roślinach od kwietnia do października oraz zimujące osobniki w ściółce. Szczegóły rozwoju poznano fragmentarycznie. Młode imagines po wylegnięciu znajdowano we wrześniu. W hodowli samica składa jaja w końcu czerwca, a larwy ukazały się 11 VII (Dieckmann 1980). Larwy żerują na korzeniach komonic.
