Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w środkowej Europie oraz w południowej części północnej Europy. W Polsce znajdowany rzadko i sporadycznie, przy tym wiele danych o rozmieszczeniu oparto na znaleziskach pochodzących z XIX stulecia. Z Krakowa-Zwierzyńca wykazany przez. M. Rybińskiego (1897), według W. Szymczakowskiego dane te są błędne, gdyż okazy dowodowe należą do Colon (Myloechus) brunneum (Latr.). Łowiony od kwietnia do sierpnia na stanowiskach śląskich (Gerhardt 1910).
