Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w środkowej Europie, znany również z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej części kontynentu. Z Polski wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk głównie w południowej części kraju. Omyłkowo podany z okolic Przemyśla (Trella 1924), odnośne okazy dowodowe, jak wykazał W. Szymczakowski (1969, 1969b) należy odnieść do Colon (Myloechus) barnevillei Kr. Dawne dane o występowaniu omawianego gatunku w okolicy Gdańska i Wejherowa wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Loty chrząszczy obserwowano od połowy sierpnia do pierwszych dni października.
