Taxon description
Szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek w Europie od Wysp Brytyjskich, północnych prowincji Fennoskandii i Karelii aż do Pirenejów, środkowych Włoch i północnej Serbii, notowany ponadto z Kaukazu, Turkiestanu, Chin i Japonii. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju prócz wyższych partii górskich, ale brak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych o rozmieszczeniu z wielu krain. Zasiedla tereny bagniste i miejsca wilgotne na pobrzeżach rzek i jezior; znajdowano go w detrytusie, pod kamieniami, opadłym listowiem, wiązkami ściętych trzcin i wśród korzeni roślin.
