Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek holarktyczny, szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie z wyjątkiem północnych prowincji Fennoskandii i południowej części Półwyspu Bałkańskiego. W Polsce, mimo że nie jest znany jeszcze z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze oprócz wyższych gór. Zamieszkuje tereny nizinne i podgórza. Występuje wśród plew, resztek słomy i siana w stodołach, szopach, komórkach i stogach, zwłaszcza w pomieszczeniach dla owiec, niekiedy w ich sąsiedztwie na polach i łąkach.
