Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący środkową i północną część Europy oraz Syberię Zachodnią. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany; znany z nielicznych stanowisk, przy czym dane o rozmieszczeniu w sześciu krainach opierają się na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia, dlatego też wymagają one potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Spotykany w maju i czerwcu, głównie na torfowiskach, gdzie poławiany przeważnie na brzozach — Betula L. i wierzbie szarej — Salix cinerea L.
