Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Motyl rzadki, spotykany przede wszystkim na południu kraju, lata od końca V do pocz. VIII. Gąsienice żerują pojedynczo na sałacie kompasowej i murowej, wg innych źródeł na przenęcie, jastrzębcu i in. Gąsienica podrażniona zgina się w literę S, przebiera kolejno przednimi odnóżami i rzuca ciałem na boki, po czym spada na ziemię. Zimują poczwarki jak u pokrewnych gatunków.
