Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w Europie południowej i środkowej, notowany także z kilku stanowisk w południowej części Szwecji, Finlandii i Karelii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych krain, przeważnie z pojedynczych stanowisk. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i górzyste. Bionomia tego gatunku nie jest dokładnie poznana. Postacie dojrzałe znajdowano głównie w maju, przeważnie na pobrzeżach lasu i na łąkach śródleśnych. Chrząszcze obserwowano na dębach, leszczynach, jodłach i modrzewiach. Poławiano je również na kwitnących krzewach i roślinach zielnych oraz na przegrzybiałych gałęziach buka, w starych spróchniałych wierzbach oraz starych płotach zbudowanych z chrustu.
