Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Rozmieszczony głównie w północnej i środkowej Europie (południową granicę zasięgu wyznacza linia przebiegająca przez Pireneje, północne Włochy, Grecję i Ukr. SRR). Zasiedla tereny górzyste, docierając w Alpach do wysokości około 2000 m n.p.m. W Polsce jest chrząszczem rzadko i sporadycznie spotykanym, notowanym z ośmiu południowych krain. Z uwagi na wymagania środowiskowe jedyna wzmianka sprzed prawie stu lat o występowaniu omawianego gatunku na Nizinie Mazowieckiej jest niewiarygodna. Bionomia nie jest poznana; postacie dojrzałe poławiano od maja do lipca przeważnie na drzewach iglastych i na roślinach rosnących pod nimi.
