Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w całej środkowej części Europy, na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich i do skrajnych północnych prowincji Fennoskandii, notowany również z Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce prócz wyższych partii górskich występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych z wielu krain. Znajdowany w spróchniałych, wilgotnych pniach i pniakach, pod obluźnioną korą, w chodnikach larw korników, niekiedy pod opadłym listowiem.
