Taxon description
Gatunek znany ze wszystkich krajów środkowoeuropejskich, wykazywany tez z Francji, Włoch, Szwajcarii i Bułgarii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w ośmiu krainach. Postacie dojrzałe spotykane są od marca do lipca, przeważnie na topoli białej — Populus alba L. i topoli czarnej — P. nigra L. oraz rzadziej na drzewiastych wierzbach — Salix L. Cykl rozwojowy i bionomia omawianego gatunku nie są znane. Chrząszcze przebywają prawdopodobnie wysoko w koronach drzew, gdyż najczęściej łowi się je na podszycie pod wyżej wymienionymi drzewami.
