Taxon description
Gatunek mało znany, niedawno opisany z Austrii i dotychczas wykazywany tylko z tego kraju oraz z zachodnich Niemiec; prawdopodobnie szerzej rozmieszczony, ale nie odróżniany od pospolitego, pokrewnego Enicmus transversus (Ol.). W Polsce znany z jednego okazu znalezionego pod korą starego dębu. Bionomia nie jest znana. Autor opisu gatunku podał go ze ściółki oraz z lucerny siewnej — Medicago sativa L.
