Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek rozsiedlony od Wysp Brytyjskich, Fennoskandii i Karelii przez całą Europę środkową aż do Włoch środkowych i Bośni; wykazywany również z Kaukazu. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Występuje w hubach na drzewach liściastych oraz w zmurszałym drewnie i pod przegrzybiałą korą. Jako grzyby żywicielskie różni autorzy podają: porek brzozowy — Piptoporus betulinus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst., pniarek jesionowy — Fomitopsis cytisina (Berk.) Bond. et Sing., białoczyr wiązowy — Leucofomes ulmarius (Sow. ex Fr.) Kotl. et Pouz., włóknouszek szczotkowaty — Inonotus hispidus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst., w. promienisty — I. radiatus (Sow. ex Fr.) P. Karst., czyreń ogniowy — Phellinus igniarius (L. ex Fr.) Quél., żagiew łuskowata — Polyporus squamosus (Huds.) ex Fr. i żółciak siarkowy — Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull. ex Fr.) Murr.
