Taxon description
Motyl lokalnie i pojedynczo spotykany na brzegach lasów, w miejscach nasłonecznionych pojawia się w VI i VII. Odznacza się piękną barwą cielistopopielatą z czarnym delikatnym rysunkiem. Gąsienice, żerujące w VII i VIII, wgryzają się w pąki kwiatów i torebki nasienne lepnicy rozdętej i zwisłej, a także i innych gatunków lepnic. Przed przepoczwarczeniem się budują na okres zimowy oprzędy między liśćmi na ziemi lub płytko w ziemi. Gąsienice młodociane mają barwę brudnoszarą. W miarę wzrostu pojawiają się na ich ciele jasne pasy boczne. Nierzadko przepoczwarczają się w pustych torebkach nasiennych.
