Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Wysp Brytyjskich i północnej Fennoskandii przez całą środkową Europę aż do Pirenejów, środkowych Włoch i północnego Bałkanu. W Polsce prawdopodobnie z wyjątkiem wysokich gór występuje na całym obszarze, aczkolwiek nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain. Występuje głównie w gniazdach Formica rufa L., niekiedy znajdowany w nawozie i kompoście.
