Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem południową część Europy Środkowej oraz Europę Południową, notowany ponadto z Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i Syrii. W Polsce wykazany z dwu stanowisk oddalonych od siebie tylko około 0,5 km. Opierając się prawdopodobnie na doniesieniach o występowaniu tego gatunku koło Ojcowa, błędnie i ogólnikowo W. Szymczakowski (1960) wymienił omawiany gatunek z Wyżyny Małopolskiej. Należy u nas do rzadkości, ale według S. Smreczyńskiego (1965) koło Ojcowa zbierany dość licznie w latach 1923-1925. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano na różnych gatunkach bylin z rodzaju posłonek — Helianthemum Mill. Z wymienionych w piśmiennictwie kilku roślin żywicielskich, w Polsce może być znaleziony na posłonku pospolitym — H. ovatum (Viv.) Dun. rosnącym na łąkach, w zaroślach i na wzgórzach; oraz na posłonku kutnerowatym — H. nummularium (L.) Dun., rosnącym na suchych wzgórzach wapiennych. Rozwój larwalny jest nieznany.
