Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Motyl spotykany pojedynczo, lata od VI do VIII. Gąsienica żeruje od IX do V (z przerwą na sen zimowy), żywiąc się liśćmi wielu drzew i krzewów, jak np. iwy, dębu, tarniny, brzozy, leszczyny, dzikiej róży, maliny i jeżyny. Gąsienice zmienne w ubarwieniu: od brązowych, brązowozielonych do zielonych. Poczwarka przebywa w oprzędzie, zbudowanym między liśćmi rośliny żywicielskiej.
