Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek rozsiedlony głównie w środkowej i południowo-wschodniej części Europy oraz w Azji Mniejszej, na północ docierający do Anglii, Danii i dwu południowych prowincji Szwecji, a na południe do południowej Francji, środkowych Włoch i Rodopów. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko notowany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w sześciu krainach. Występuje głównie w lasach cienistych i zaroślach. Jako roślina żywicielska jest podawany szczyr trwały — Mercurialis perennis L.
