Taxon description
Gatunek opisany z Chorwacji, szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Europie od południowych części Anglii i Fennoskandii, przez całą środkową część kontynentu po Jugosławię i Grecję. Na ogół rzadko i sporadycznie poławiany, częściej występuje w północnej części areału. W Europie Środkowej wykazywany z nielicznych, znacznie rozproszonych stanowisk; w Polsce notowany z dwu krain. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w rozkładającym się, miękkim i wilgotnym drewnie drzew liściastych, rzadko w drewnie świerków — Picea Dietr.
