Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu ogólnym, wykazywany ze środkowej części Europy, notowany poza tym jako importowany do Szwecji i Finlandii. Kornik drukarczyk jest w Polsce rozpowszechniony na całym obszarze kraju, nie wykazywany jednak jeszcze z Pobrzeża Bałtyku, Pojezierza Pomorskiego i Gór Świętokrzyskich. Żeruje głównie na świerku, spotykany również sporadycznie na sośnie, jodle, modrzewiu i limbie. Opada zwykle drzewa stojące. Żerowisko typu gwiaździstego z 3-7 chodnikami macierzystymi, przebiegającymi głównie pod cienką korą, wyraźnie wygryzione w drewnie.
