Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek opisany przed przeszło 120 laty z Francji, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w Niemczech, Austrii, Czechach, na Morawach, Słowacji, Węgrzech, w Rumunii i Bułgarii. Wszędzie rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, przeważnie tylko samice, pierwsze okazy samców poznano po stu latach od opisu gatunku. W Polsce stosunkowo niedawno wykazany z dwu stanowisk. Chrząszcze związane z lasami pierwotnymi lub ich reliktowymi ostojami. Imagines poławiano od czerwca do sierpnia. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w twardym drewnie drzew liściastych.
