Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek, o areale rozciągającym się od Wysp Brytyjskich, środkowej części Skandynawii i zachodniej Finlandii przez całą środkową część Europy aż do Pirenejów, środkowych Włoch, Bośni i Hercegowiny oraz Siedmiogrodu. Notowany poza tym z Algierii i Maroka. W Polsce na ogół rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Występuje głównie na terenach pagórkowatych i górzystych, gdzie sięga do strefy subalpejskiej. Znajdowany pod obluźnioną korą na pniach i pieńkach, w żerowiskach korników i w gnijących grzybach.
