Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej Palearktyce prócz Afryki Północnej; w Europie na północ sięgający po wybrzeża Morza Barentsa. W Polsce występuje na całym obszarze, ale nie jest jeszcze notowany z niektórych krain. Żyje na wierzbach, topolach i brzozach; notowany jako szkodnik w uprawach wierzby koszykarskiej oraz w szkółkach i młodnikach brzozowych.
