Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej części Europy, przy czym w miarę posuwania się z zachodu na wschód coraz rzadziej spotykany. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Zamieszkuje tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie, docierając do wysokości około 1600 m n.p.m. Występuje głównie na wilgotnych łąkach oraz na pobrzeżach rzek i potoków; poławiano go w czerwcu i lipcu, przeważnie na krzaczastych roślinach zielnych, zwłaszcza baldaszkowatych.
