Taxon description
Gatunek pontyjsko-pannoński, występujący w wąskim pasie ciągnącym się od Iranu i Kaukazu przez Ukraińską SRR aż do wschodniej części środkowej Europy (zachodnia granica rozsiedlenia przebiega przez Austrię Dolną). W Polsce z całą pewnością nie stwierdzony. Notowany z naszego kraju jedynie na podstawie jednorazowego doniesienia z Warszawy sprzed około stu lat. Osterloff (1885) zebrał 20 maja 1882 r. z ziół i różnych traw gatunek w Warszawie. Mogły to być bądź okazy zawleczone, bądź mylnie oznaczone — tym bardziej, że roślina żywicielska, jaką jest pszonak siwy — Erysimum canescens Roth nie była dotychczas w Polsce znaleziona.
