Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1997:

Gatunek górski, notowany z Alp Nadmorskich, Alp Południowych i Karpat. W Polsce odkryty stosunkowo niedawno; znaleziony dotychczas w trzech południowych krainach. Spotykany w dolinach rzek i potoków, na halach i murawach aż do strefy kosówki. Imagines poławiano na różnych dzwonkowatych — Campanulaceae oraz kwiatach różaneczników — Rhododendron L. Larwy odbywają rozwój prawdopodobnie w torebkach nasiennych dzwonka brodatego — Campanula barbata L.
