Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w Europie Południowej, skąd izolowanymi stanowiskami wkracza do południowo-wschodniej części Europy środkowej. W Polsce stosunkowo niedawno odkryty na dwu stanowiskach. Bionomia i cykl rozwojowy nie są znane. M. Tomalak poławiał chrząszcze 5 VI na świerzbnicy polnej — Knautia arvensis (L.) Coult. i 9 VII na roślinach należących do rodziny baldaszkowatych — Umbelliferae.
