Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1981:

Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Europie, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, a na południe docierający do Hiszpanii, Włoch, Rumunii i Ukraińskiej SRR. Notowany także z Syberii, Algerii i Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce poławiany na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych; występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, aczkolwiek nie znany jest jeszcze z wielu krain. Znajdowany na bagnach i torfowiskach wśród wilgotnych mchów, pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi i w napływkach.
