Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1987:

Gatunek zasiedlający południową i środkową część Europy, notowany także z Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i obszarów wokół Morza Kaspijskiego. W Polsce dość rzadki, spotykany sporadycznie i nielicznie, przy czym większość danych o jego rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach w ubiegłym stuleciu. Zasiedla ciepłe stanowiska w świetlistych lasach na terenach pagórkowatych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Pojaw postaci dojrzałych rozpoczyna się w czerwcu i trwa do sierpnia; chrząszcze przebywają zwykle na trawach, kwiatach bylin i roślin zielnych rosnących pod drzewami, na pobrzeżach lasu i polanach śródleśnych.
