Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1983:

Gatunek występujący prawie w całej Europie (z wyjątkiem skrajnych części obszaru północnego), notowany także z zachodniej części Afryki Północnej, Azji Mniejszej, Syrii, Iranu i obszaru wokół Morza Kaspijskiego. Zarówno w Polsce, jak i w innych krajach środkowoeuropejskich jest najpospolitszym gatunkiem omawianego rodzaju. Występuje od wczesnej wiosny na różnego rodzaju glebach w ekskrementach bydła i owiec. Nowe pokolenie pojawia się w sierpniu i wrześniu.
