Taxon description
Gatunek o ograniczonym zasiedleniu głównie do południowo — wschodniej części Europy środkowej; poza Polską notowany z Czechosłowacji, Węgier, Austrii Dolnej, Alp Bawarskich i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany dotychczas tylko z Beskidów, stosunkowo niedawno stwierdzony na dwu stanowiskach w Bieszczadach. Znajdowany w suchych hubach na drzewach liściastych, zwłaszcza bukach, w przegrzybiałym drewnie, pod odstającą korą i w stosach starego chrustu.
