Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych prowincji Norwegii i Szwecji po kraje śródziemnomorskie, sięgający na wschód po Syberię i Bliski Wschód. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk, zarówno na terenach nizinnych, jak i górskich; z Sudetów Zachodnich i Wschodnich znany tylko na podstawie znalezisk pochodzących z XIX wieku. Żyje na dębie szypułkowym — Quercus robur L., zwłaszcza na drzewach rosnących pojedynczo lub na nasłonecznionych pobrzeżach lasu.
