Taxon description
Motyl nierzadko spotykany, żyje na mokrych łąkach, torfowiskach i brzegach rzek, rzadziej w parkach, ogrodach i na brzegach lasów. Pojawia się w dwu pokoleniach: w V i VI oraz w VIII i IX. Gąsienice, żerujące na przytulii oraz bobrku trójlistnym spotyka się od IX do V z przerwą na sen zimowy oraz w VII. W hodowli wylęga się trzecie pokolenie w IX i X. Poczwarka przebywa w dość luźnym oprzędzie między liśćmi na ziemi. Gąsienica, początkowo zielona, po ostatniej lince ma 5 lub 6 segmentów ozdobionych krótkimi, różowymi paskami, ułożonymi równolegle na granicy segmentów.
