Taxon description
Gatunek górski obejmujący zasięgiem łuk karpacki, od Beskidu po Bieszczady. W Polsce notowany z pięciu krain, głównie z Tatr, gdzie występuje przeważnie w strefie reglowej. Ogólnikowe wzmianki o występowaniu na Śląsku nie znalazły potwierdzenia. Bionomia i cykl rozwojowy tego chrząszcza nie są znane. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano na roślinach zielnych, krzewach i drzewach liściastych oraz iglastych, zwłaszcza na świerkach.
