Taxon description
Rozsiedlenie tego gatunku jest słabo poznane, gdyż został stosunkowo niedawno opisany z Lublina; jest znany poza tym w Polsce z Hajnówki oraz notowany ostatnio z Ukrainy i Niemiec. Zamieszkuje głównie miasta i osiedla wiejskie, gdzie występuje w parkach, ogrodach i zieleńcach wśród zabudowań. Bywa poławiany przeważnie na bzie zwyczajnym (lilaku) — Syringa vulgaris L. i ligustrze pospolitym — Ligustrum vulgare L. oraz w ściółce pod krzewami. Postacie dojrzałe są aktywne nocą; żerują na liściach krzewów i drzew, wyżerając na brzegach liści małe półkoliste karby. Prócz bzu i ligustru, obserwowano również żerowanie na śnieguliczce białej — Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blaze, dereniu świdwie — Cornus sanguinea L., robinii akacjowej — Robinia pseudacacia L. oraz na różnych gatunkach z rodzajów: tawuła — Spiraea L., głóg — Crataegus L., złotokap — Laburnum Med. i porzeczka — Rihes L.
