Taxon description
Gatunek myrmekofilny, występujący od południowo-wschodniej Anglii, południowych części Norwegii i Finlandii przez całą środkową część Europy aż do Francji, Włoch, Jugosławii i Rumunii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Zamieszkuje gniazda mrówek Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.) i L. brunneus (Latr.) mieszczące się w starych pniach i pieńkach, niekiedy znajdowany w sąsiedztwie mrowisk wśród mchów przy podstawie drzew i pod opadłymi liśćmi.
